From November 15, 2021 to February 28, 2022 in Russia an experiment will be carried out on the exchange of information about the birth between medical information systems (MIS) of medical organizations and government information systems. This draft decree of the Government developed by the Ministry of Health was published on the portal of draft regulatory legal acts.

On October 20 the Minister of Justice Konstantin Chuichenko said that the service for electronic birth registration will start working in March 2022. The former deputy prime minister said that before that some information systems should be updated and their interaction should be fine-tuned, TASS writes.

The project defines the objectives, timing, procedure and participants in the experiment to generate medical certificates of birth in the form of electronic documents. It is necessary for approbation of information interaction. Participants in the experiment will be the Ministry of Health, the Federal Tax Service, the Ministry of Digital Development of Communications and Mass Media of Russia, civil registry offices, public health organizations that issue medical certificates of birth in the Khanty-Mansiysk, Bashkortostan, Belgorod, Moscow, Leningrad and Tula regions.
