A gas swindler gives a glimmer of hope to deceived Europeans.

Gazprom has resumed pumping through the Yamal-Europe pipeline and has reached 1.1 million cubic meters per day at the entry point to Germany.

In addition, Gazprom today filed an application for the transit of 109.3 million cubic meters per day through the Ukrainian GTS.

The market has already reacted to this increase of supplies by cutting gas prices, but in general, what is going on reminds me of a poultice for a dead man. After all, with such volumes Gazprom will not be able to fill the nearly empty German and Austrian UGS facilities.

Elementary mathematics. Russia needs more than 7 billion cubic meters to fill its UGS facilities. Taking into account the above-mentioned supply volumes and the withdrawal of gas from UGS facilities due to the start of the heating season, how long will it take Gazprom to do it?

Russia is playing the benefactor, although there will be no significant change in the market with the volumes of gas that it has started supplying to the EU.
