The peer-to-peer hypermedia IPFS team accused TRON founder and CEO of BitTorrent of stealing their "original logo", codes and documents, done by Justin Sun in an attempt to "trick his investors into confusing them."

The platform made this announcement after Justin announced the rebranding of the BitTorrent File System (BTFS) logo. It was stated that this was dictated by the need to convey the idea and vision of BTFS in a more realistic way.

Protocol Labs founder Juan Benet, who is also the creator of IPFS, remarked that he was saddened by Justin Sun's actions, because "BitTorrent was a great technology" before, on which an entire generation grew up.

At the same time, Benet added that before the transition to the new leadership, the BitTorrent team consisted of good people.

Aaaaaahahaha it’s not enough to fork all our code, rebrand it and lie its theirs; copy paste random chunks of our papers, and defraud their investors with a nonsensical mishmash. Tron also can’t even think of an original logo 🤯🤣 https://t.co/h6EGPNwXzQ

It is bitter to see how this great project goes through such shame, ”the creator of IPFS expressed his chagrin.

In this regard, the top manager suggested that platform users move to other decentralized P2p networks, such as IPFS and WebTorrent, because BitTorrent is no longer considered a "legitimate p2p project."

Responding to Juan's accusations, Justin Sun said that the hexagon shape does not belong to anyone, sneering that the founder should measure his ego and stop cheating on his investors.

In addition, Sun fought back by writing that it was IPFS who had been copying his code for a long time, but he did not claim this out of companionship. As we remember, once a young entrepreneur was caught plagiarizing from the Ethereum network .

It's funny that crypto enthusiast Udi Wertheimer wrote that IPFS, in turn, stole its logo from a little-known artist selling his work on Adobe Stock.
