Колишній заступник начальника Головного управління МВС Росії у боротьбі з екстремізмом, генерал-майор поліції Володимир Макаров наклав на себе руки, передає ТАРС з посиланням на джерело. Про загибель Макарова також пишуть "Московський комсомолець" та телеграм-канал "ВЧК-ОГПУ".

Співрозмовник агентства розповів, що тіло Макарова виявили вранці 13 лютого у дачному будинку у підмосковному селі Голіково. "Попередньо встановлено, що він скоїв самогубство", - сказало джерело.

The interlocutor of the agency said that Makarov's body was found on the morning of February 13 in a country house in the village of Golikovo near Moscow. “It is preliminarily established that he committed suicide,” the source said.

A close family friend of General Makarov told RBC that he was going to go to work in one of the state-owned companies in two weeks. On Wednesday, the general planned to go hunting, he explained, admitting that the death could have been an accident. RBC's interlocutor clarified that Makarov was 67 years old.

According to the "MK", ​​the incident occurred at seven in the morning. His wife called her son, who called an ambulance, but the general could not be saved. The nature of the injuries suggested that he committed suicide, the newspaper writes.

TASS indicates that Makarov was dismissed from his post as deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs department for countering extremism last January. After his resignation, he was depressed, writes VChK-OGPU. According to the channel, Makarov's body was discovered by his wife, a pistol was lying next to him. The general's family was interrogated at the Investigative Committee. The family friend also claims that no pistol, which the telegram channels wrote about, was found near the body.
