Which tank before the T-34 and after the T-54 will the Russian Federation still be able to remove from storage

After the removal of T-54 and T-55 tanks from conservation was noticed in the Russian Federation , and we are not talking about isolated cases, but immediately about a whole echelon with machines, the question remains what other tanks the Rashists will be able to raise from the landfills.

And although the legendary T-34 may be the first to come to mind, especially since in 2019 the Russian Federation bought 30 units of the T-34-85 from Laos , which were in good condition and intended for parades, movie shootings and reenactment battles under the auspices of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. there are several more tanks that will precede the T-34.

In particular, it is necessary to immediately mention the T-10, also known as the IS-8. This heavy tank, which was produced from 1954 to 1966, was actually withdrawn from service in the Russian Federation only in 1993, that is, only seven years earlier than the T-55. Moreover, the development of the T-10 began later than the T-54, the first sample of which was submitted for testing at the beginning of 1945, in particular, only the technical project for the T-10 was completed only in 1949, when the T-54 was already mass-produced.

It is also necessary to mention the T-10 stocks that may still be in the Russian Federation. The exact number of cars produced varies widely, according to the minimum estimate - about 1.5 thousand units, according to the maximum - 8 thousand. These machines ended their service in the Far East of the Russian Federation, in particular, there is information that they were simply buried in the role of DOTs back in the times of the USSR.

It should be noted that when the Russian Federation makes a decision regarding the deconservation of the T-10, they can find a whole list of arguments for their "victory obsession". It should be noted that the T-10 is equipped with a 122-mm gun, which is significantly larger in caliber than the 100-mm gun of the T-54/55 and even the 115-mm gun of the T-62 and is only slightly inferior in caliber to the standard 125-mm in " newer" Soviet machines and even in the "analog" Armata.

Also, of course, the most "young" versions of the T-10 will be removed from conservation - the T-10M, which was adopted in 1957, with a 750-horsepower engine weighing 51.5 tons, an IR searchlight "Luna", which will allow us to talk about the machine is equipped with night vision devices, as well as an ammunition transmitter, with which it is possible to fire 3-4 shots per minute, instead of 2. The armor of a heavy tank, which reaches 250 mm, will probably be praised, the main thing is not to mention that the RPG-7 with a standard cumulative shot, the 1977 PG-7VL penetrates 500 mm.

T-10

It is quite possible to expect that they will try to rename this tank, in particular to return the old name IS-8, because the name T-10 can cause an analogy with the T-14 "Armata" and unnecessary questions. Given that the Russian Federation will soon start issuing T-10M with "Contact" as a new development, it is possible to assign a different index altogether, for example "PU-1" in honor of its leader.
