The Olenegorsky miner large landing ship was damaged during an attack by kamikaze boats in Novorossiysk, the Military Informant telegram channel reports .

Other sources note that one of the compartments of the ship was flooded, which caused it to roll.

Telegram channel Astra published a video of the damaged ship being towed.

This information has not been officially confirmed by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation even after the defeat of the ship became obvious.

Early in the morning on Friday, August 4, explosions thundered in the waters of Novorossiysk and the village of Myskhako. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation stated: “Tonight, the armed forces of Ukraine, using two sea unmanned boats, attempted to attack the Novorossiysk naval base. In the course of repelling the attack, unmanned boats were visually detected and destroyed by fire from the standard weapons of Russian ships guarding the external raid of the naval base ". The mayor of Novorossiysk Andrey Kravchenko reported that the attack of surface drones was repulsed by the crews of the Olenegorsky Gornyak and Suvorovets ships.

The explosions allegedly did not damage the Caspian Pipeline Consortium's infrastructure near Novorossiysk.

Novorossiysk is the largest base of the Russian Navy. The distance by sea from the territory controlled by Ukraine is about 800 km. Thus, we are talking about the longest successful attack by Ukrainians using unmanned boats.

The Interfax-Ukraine agency , citing "sources in the Ukrainian special service," reports: "The Security Service of Ukraine, together with the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, carried out an operation in Novorossiysk Bay, as a result of which the Olenegorsky Miner large landing ship was damaged." Further, the source of the agency is quoted: “The special operation was carried out together with the Navy. As a result of the attack, the Olenegorsk Miner received a serious hole and is currently unable to perform its combat missions. All statements by the Russians about the “repulsed attack” are fake.”

The Ukrainian side published a video taken by a camera that was installed on an unmanned boat. This record convincingly proves that the Olenegorsky miner large landing ship was hit.

A source in the Ukrainian special services explains: "The video shows how the surface drone of the SBU, saturated with 450 kilograms of TNT, attacks an enemy ship with about 100 crew members."
