And who is this Mr. Bastrykin?

Wow. Just wow. I read it with awe, because it is a historical document. Someday it will form the basis of the trial of Putin's investigators who fabricated criminal cases.

Exactly two weeks ago we were trying to get a resolution from the investigator or at least some document from the Investigative Committee of Russia indicating what kind of crime had occurred, the illegal proceeds from which were laundered by all the FBK employees.

The crime was obviously serious. There were about ten searches alone. Accounts were frozen. Offices were looted.

We were eagerly awaiting information about the nature of the crime.

And here we have the resolution.

The crime is described with the firm hand of Major General Gabdulin, a loyal assistant to the head of the Investigative Committee, the Czech resident Mr. Bastrykin. A master of fabrications. He was the one who led the "Bolotnaya Case", and he is now imprisoning innocent people in the Moscow case.

So, behold (just don’t be scared and don’t get a heart attack from the description of the black deed):

Unknown persons, including FBK employees, received an unknown amount of money from unknown persons.

Uh... where is the description of the crime? - you ask. There really isn't one. And we have a paper in our hands stating that the case was literally fabricated out of thin air. But at the same time, it has already become so important and complicated that it was decided to investigate it not until October 2019 (clearly, there won't be time), but until March 2020.

The FBK leaders and its founder (that is, me) will write a counter-statement today under Article 299 “Bringing a knowingly innocent person to criminal liability or illegal initiation of a criminal case” and Article 286 “Abuse of official authority.”

I am sure that Bastrykin and Gabdulin are giggling while reading this post and the statements. They consider themselves to be untouchable people in complete safety.

Never mind, let them giggle. Yagoda giggled too. And Yezhov giggled. And Beria giggled very merrily too. And I will note that their giggling was interrupted not by the democratic public, not by the Maidan, and not by the West. It was exactly the same statements in their legal essence that interrupted him.

We call on all FBK donors – honest people whose money has been recognized as criminal – to participate in the information and legal campaign with us.

Leonid Volkov will tell you more about it in today’s broadcast of the program Russia of the Future .
